Air Raid was an aerial cowboy. Loud, profane, and courageous to a fault, he was a good friend, especially to a flier in trouble. While he wasn't much older than the rest of his team, they tended to see him as a big brother...and he always looked out for them.
Air Raid trained with a very unusual weapon - a sort of biaxial forcefield rope known as a torque rifle. With this, he could hitch rides on a larger opponent, or use its twist axis to tear off pieces. He claimed this was the true weapon of a Jet-ai.
